Quoting without a complete brief
Include measurements, tolerances, fabric composition and GSM, colour references, artwork placements and a size breakdown. Missing details make quotes difficult to compare.
Treating a sample as optional
Review and approve a physical sample before committing to bulk production. Record requested changes and retain an approved reference.
Ignoring fabric and trim minimums
A low garment quantity does not always meet a dye lot, fabric mill or custom trim minimum. Ask how those constraints affect price and available options.
Leaving quality until dispatch
Agree defect classifications, measurements and inspection requirements before production. Record who authorises shipment release.
Comparing prices without shipping terms
Compare the same scope: sampling, labels, packaging, freight, duties and insurance. Confirm delivery responsibilities in the quotation.
